Why is it important to consult more than one source while researching a topic?
Even printed sources can be wrong sometimes. By cross-referencing your research and consulting more than one source, you can find out whether a source is reliable. Such effort is particularly important when conducting Internet research, since a good deal of information on the Internet is incorrect. Although consulting more than one source may give you different ideas of how to word your argument or show that many different ways to look at an issue, these reasons are not quite as important as validating and dismissing information.
